Firstly apologises from us all that it has been so long since the last blog entry.

Time does fly and things are keeping us very busy….but we can’t believe it’s August already!

Darren is busy with his various businesses, including his supplement company PAS, which is doing great. Add that to his media work and Street Athletics and he has no time. Apart of course to spend of much of it with his wife and 3 kids!

Linford has been busy coaching European medalists! Well done too Mark LF and Conrad Williams who won medals recently in Barcelona at the European Athletics Champs.

I know many people including myself and Ron Roddan are very proud of them, especially after the horrible couple of years Mark has had.

I have been very busy with media work and loved doing the interviews for BBC 5Live at the recent Europeans. So much fun and so many medals! I finally got Mo Farah after all these years to stop calling me Merry! He did finally call me Kath!

We hope you are all having a good year and enjoyed the athletics.

For us, next stop Crystal Palace and the Aviva London Grand Prix!

Hi all.

Well what a busy summer it has been.

One of our highlights, as always, is doing the STREET ATHLETICS.

On Saturday we had a great time at the National Final, which was in Manchester for the 5th year running.

Seeing so many kids having fun and getting the opportunity to be involved in racing on the streets is a pleasure for me and Darren to see. This was our dream when we set this up 5 years ago and every year we still get the same amount of enjoyment and pleasure doing it. Hard work, yes. Worth it, you bet!

The full results from the final are on the street athletics website, so a big well done to all those who took part in the Street Athletics this year. 20 regional heats and 11 cities and towns were represented in the final on Saturday.

Also if you went along and got involved in the Street Athletics Coaching Community Day’s with Katharine and Les, then well done too! We hoped you picked up some good tips!

Big up all the helpers, supporters and sponsors of the event including Sony and Nike, I think this year has to be our biggest and best yet.

Katharine MC’d the event and she was kept busy, but everyone had fun, so thanks again to all those involved. See you on the streets in 2010!

 Hi all

Well as usual I am a busy, and I love it. I have alot going on that is keeping me busy, and in particular TEAM SUPERSCHOOLS.

Check out the website  www.teamsuperschools.co.uk to get all the information, but this is a great concept I run with former Olympic medalist Todd Bennett where we go into schools and take a sporting celebrity, do some simple exercises and raise money for the school. So simple, but very effective in raising money for the school and inspiring the kids.

We had our full launch a couple of weeks ago, when announcing The Paper Company was coming on board as a sponsor, and we had myself and Todd with Christine Ohuruogo, Ashia Hansen, Christian Malcolm and Katharine amongst others help launch our 2012 mission!

This is to take TSS into 2012 schools by the 2012 games in London……check out the above web address for more info. We could even come to your school!

All else is great as I dash around between media stuff, spending time with my family, and basically enjoying all I do.

Well we are all back from the Far East after what was a superb Olympic Games.

China hosted a wonderful 29th Olympiad!

All 3 of us worked long hours but throughly enjoyed the experience of working in the media.

So what was our highlight of the Games.? We all agree that both Michael Phelps and Usian Bolt was great, and of course we are all biased to track and field, so being in the Birds Nest Stadium to see Mr Bolt win 3 golds medals and break 3 World Records was very special.

We all hope you enjoyed the Games as much as we did. Seeing TeamGB do so well and finish 4th in the medal table was exceptional. Well done eveyone who played their part.

So back to reality and for us the athletic season is nearly over, just a couple more things to do with athletics for 2008.

Hi.

Well things are very busy as usual, but I have made sure I find time to get involved in this years SPORT RELIEF and I will be in Albert Square Manchester on Sunday for the Sport Relief mile.

The races kick off at 1pm and the entries close on Thursday, so sign up and come along for some fun. Loads of entertainment is planned for the day, which of course raises lots of needed cash for UK and World wide projects.

Katharine I know is attending her home town Sport Relief mile in Rugby, which she tells me is sold out already, and knowing Kath she will not be able to help herself and get all competitive and have some fun on the course!

So check out your nearest mile and get involved in anyway you can to make this years Sport Relief even bigger and better!

 Well the 2008 year has started as busy as the 2007 one ended! It is all good though….I am working hard and continue to heavily involved with the Street Athletics plans for 2008, and I am currently doing alot with the Youth Sports Trust. Actually I will be at the Schools Sports Conference this week in Telford doing some stuff with YST and for Elitementor, so I am looking forward to that.

I am enjoying the football season, and catching as much as I can of the African Nations Cup. My involvement with the Premier League and certain players is keeping me busy, as I continue to enjoy the Premiership. Man Utd are performing well, so that always helps!

My involvement with Radio 5 has started with Kath and the ‘Road to Beijing’ series, and I know how fast an athletic season flies by, so before you know it we will be Fast East bound and enjoying the Games.

Fitting all this around a young family is hectic, but alot of fun, so I hope everyone has had a good start to 2008………and had a great Christmas and New Year.

I have a feeling 2008 is going to be a hectic but fun and successful year on alot of fronts!

Firstly I want to send a big congratulations from myself and Linford to all those youngsters who took part in Street Athletics during 2007. We had a fantastic turn out in the cities during the qualifying and a great Grand final on the 15th September in Manchester.

My mates Amir Khan and Simon Webbe took time out of their busy schedules too come and support, and added to making it the best Street Athletics year yet.

You can check the results on the Street Athletics website, and soon we will be adding loads of great pictures from the day of the final. So keep a look out for yourself if you were there!

Even though Street Athletics is over for another year, we already are looking to plan 2008! So keep your eyes open for info!

All else with me is good, busy as usual, but for now I am going to sit down with Linford and take a few relaxing deep breathes ….just for a couple days…!
